"Home for the Holidays" by LHN Day 4

I finished the house today and started on the snow. I added window panes to the house but am still disliking that the color is so light. No contrast.

Hospital Gowns made

Today, I made two gowns to wear at the hospital. Apparently, I think I am bigger than I am because they are huge even on me. But that's ok because I have extra fabric to pull over the front.

Rice Bags sewed but not stuffed

I learned in my natural child birth class that rice bags were the way to go to help with cramps and muscle aches. I made some bags today but I don't have rice for them. I'll go to the store on Monday and get some. I ended up with two long bags for my back or legs and 3 smaller bags for my hands or ankles. They stitched up really fast and were fun to make.

"Home for the Holidays" by LHN Day 3

Day 3 of lunchtime stitching. I finished the roof and started the house. The fabric is Aida 14 count Oatmeal as all my fabric went to storage by mistake and I haven't picked it back up. I had to buy this from JoAnn Fabrics and this was the only color they had that I liked for this project. I decided to do the house in Ecru which I'm not loving as it is so light but I'm continuing on with the project. I didn't finish the house on lunch but made it down to the door.

I probably stitched about 45 minutes today.

On another note, I received my spooky scissors today. Very cool and I'm in love with them.

Started a new cross stitch project today

I'm cross stitching "Home for the Holidays" by Little House Needleworks on my lunch break. Today, I cut the fabric, counted out my starting point and started the border. It'll be a project I only work on during my lunch break so we'll see how long it takes me to complete it. I got about 30 minutes stitching time in today.

Cross Stitch Variation

I'm going to start cross stitching "Home for the Holidays" by Little House Needleworks tomorrow. I wanted to add our first names to it and the year so I had to add a few rows and adjust the stitching above to get it all in. I think it will be a great first Christmas ornament for 2010.
